Illuvium is a collectible NFT RPG game and auto-battler rolled into one. An open-world RPG experience in the overworld, where you mine, harvest, discover, capture, and fight over 100+ "Illuvials", deadly beasts who rule this alien world—each possessing hybrid synergies and unique abilities. 

Illuvium: Overworld is the RPG component of the IBC franchise being developed by Illuvium Studios. Players are tasked with exploring the seven regions of the continent that tower above the crystal ocean and capturing Illuvials while uncovering the planet's mysteries. During the exploration of each region, players will use energy to stay in an area. Running out of energy will send players back to the central hub. Players can choose to encounter Illuvials that they spot in the Overworld. However, doing so will cost energy.

Capturing an Illuvial requires a shard, which must be brought to the encounter. Having a shard is not a guarantee of a successful capture. The quality of the shard and the player's luck will determine if the capture is successful, allowing players to add another NFT to their collection. When players enter the Overworld game, they begin by customizing their characters and selecting their Polymorphic Subordinate Drone (PSD), which is a vital companion. The PSD can mine minerals from Illuvium's surface and use them to craft useful items. It can also mine ore, which can be used to make weapons and armor.

For players who enjoy adventuring, the Overworld offers ample opportunities to capture Illuvials. Capturing rare and powerful Illuvials can be very lucrative. However, over time, Illuvials become harder to capture as the captured population increases. This mechanism is in place to prevent overpopulation and adjusts the capture rate in tandem with the number of Illuvials captured so far. It also becomes increasingly rare to encounter rare Illuvials over time.

Illuvium features seven unique regions; Abyssal Basin, Brightland Steppes, Crimson Waste, Crystal Shores, Halcyon Sea, Shardbluff Labyrinth, and Taiga Boreal. Each region has its own climate, terrain, and distinctive visuals. Let's take a closer look at what the Illuvium Overworld map has to offer.

The different affinities and classes each Illuvial represents keep the players desiring to catch them all, pushing them to explore different regions and step outside of their comfort zone to capture stronger monsters to climb the ranked ladder and conquer further. Think Pokemon elements &amp; evolutions with synergies and infinite potential synergies and combinations. This allows each player to develop their own strategy and play style making the game unique and constantly engaging.

Once you obtain a couple of Illuvial NFTs by capturing them or buying them from the IlluviDEX marketplace, you can take them to battle arenas and test your skills. The battle arena is a game mode where you can play 3D auto-chess style battles against other players or the computer using teams of Illuvials. There are several types of battle arenas, such as Ranked Arena, which is a competitive ladder system perfect for PvP and eSports. In Ranked Arena, there won't be any randomness, and you must bring your NFTs to be rewarded for your performance.

Leviathan Arena is another battle arena where you can bet on the outcome of fights. You can participate in this game mode as a player or spectator, and the amount you want to wager is up to you. Finally, Survival Arena is the PvE option for Illuvium battle arenas, and you play against the computer in casual gameplay. The goal is to last as long as possible in endless fights and compete with others in a PvP challenge to see who can survive the longest.

Illuvium Zero is a hyper-casual mobile game that can be compared to traditional games like Farmville and Tezotopia in web3. Players can earn resources by owning a Tier 1 to Tier 5 land plot as an NFT and farming resources from it. The resources gained can be used in other game modes, such as energy for the Overworld and ingredients for shard crafting, as well as helping Illuvials evolve into a stronger version. All resources in Illuvium Zero are fungible or non-fungible tokens that can be listed on the IlluviDEX marketplace for passive income. The game is central to the protocol, as some resources can only be acquired there and are essential for other games. The team has set a hard limit of 100,000 plots of land sold.

Illuvium is a web3 blockchain game that features unique, collectible creatures called Illuvials. Players can earn rewards by battling, training, and staking their Illuvials. The game is powered by the native ILV token. Illuvium is developing the first&nbsp;IBC franchise in web3 gaming, featuring three games each targeting a unique sector within gaming. Illuvium: Arena is an auto-battler, while Illuvium: Zero and Illuvium: Overworld are mobile and RPG games respectively.

Illuvium's NFT ecosystem allows players to collect, trade, and earn rewards through unique digital assets. To participate, you can acquire Illuvials, which are one-of-a-kind creatures that exist as NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain. You can also participate in various NFT events and auctions to acquire rare and valuable items. Additionally, you can stake your Illuvials to earn rewards in the form of ILV tokens.
