Mobile gaming has been on the rise ever since smartphones were introduced. The growth hasn't even stagnated or plateaued at all, instead it has exponentially risen in all aspects of the gaming industry; game developers, games, players, and all other elements affecting mobile gaming. According to several reports and insights, 45% of the gaming industry’s revenue in 2020 comes from mobile games. Not only that, the global revenue of the mobile gaming segment is projected to reach $160.6 billion in 2025.

In addition to that, web3 gaming needs this ease of access to become mainstream. Apple's recent acceptance of NFTs in exchange for their hefty 30% commission was a blessing and a curse but a price that needs to be paid in order to have millions of potential players. The blockchain mobile games available right now offer creative experiences that warrant one of them to be recognized as the GAM3 Awards Best Mobile game.

Guild of Guardians

Guild of Guardians is a mobile web3 game that features intriguing battle mechanics and compelling character designs. The game also has a diverse roster of maps, intense battles, and hours of fulfilling gameplay you'll want to experience over and over again. Dungeons are all unique, filled with monsters and traps. However, as dangerous as they are, they can be quite rewarded. This can be anything from loot, resources, currency, or equipment. Once you're out of the dungeon, you can use these things to craft new items, level up heroes, and recruit heroes of higher rank.

For Dungeons, players will choose heroes that they want to take with them. In order to maintain a strategic plan and the best team possible, players will have to think about their desired style of play and pick heroes accordingly. Every hero has its own unique properties, which dictate its strengths, weaknesses and how it will impact certain dungeon environments.

Splinterlands

Splinterlands offers an incredible depth for all card fanatics out there. There are two types of cards, Summoners and Monsters. Both of them are the core elements of your deck; however first you need to select which Summoner you want to use (your choice will determine which monsters you can use). Splinterlands features a strategy-based combat system with a battlefield split into two rows. One row is for melee characters, while the other is for ranged attackers. In order to attack, melee characters need to be upfront and ranged attackers in the backline. Characters can't attack from each others' positions, which make sense.

Splinterlands offers an incredible depth for all card fanatics out there, and being able to quickly pull up the game on your mobile device and compete against other players adds a ton of value into what it brings to web3 gaming. The title deservedly made it into the top five nominees of the GAM3 Awards Best Mobile category.

Blast Royale

There will always be a need for high-quality mobile games, and Blast Royale plans to cash in on that. Blast Royale is a top contender in the mobile battle royale genre, which is specifically designed so every match is a fun, quick adrenaline rush-filled game you can play. In Blast Royale, a 30-player lobby drops players near each other in order to battle it out and kill one another until there are only two people remaining and a clear winner after their encounter. Once you get into a lobby, you're dropped on the Proving Ground Island first and then you choose the location for that specific game.

Thetan Arena

With a variety of characters and PVP modes, Thetan Arena offers a fun and enjoyable experience. Four characters clash with the enemy team, so your team composition will affect your odds of winning. Thetan Arena's gameplay revolves around working together and crafting a strategy. The team makes sure the experience is diverse and engaging by offering different modes. The rotating mode selection forces you out of your comfort zone so that you get to try modes you might not have otherwise played. You never know - sometimes this can help surprise you.

Thetan Arena has managed to establish a strong and loyal community of players as well, with a competitive esports scene that you can easily participate in with just a few clicks on your mobile phone. The game makes a strong argument for itself on why it should win the GAM3 Awards Best Mobile title.

Skyweaver

The card game industry in the web3 world is filled with lots of games supporting mobile. Skyweaver is a very exciting title that takes the card game-genre to a whole new level. Skyweaver champions are tasked with harnessing the Sky Source and guiding the city into a prosperous future. They're chosen by the Prisms, and their name reflects that honor.

Skyweaver features unique art and a very enjoyable gameplay that can be easily played on mobile. Its entry barrier is incredibly low and eliminates any need of web3 knowledge for gamers who come across the title while scrolling through the App Store. This is exactly what makes for a great GAM3 Awards Best Mobile nominee.
